Winery Fink

The winery Fink, founded about 100 years ago and managed in fourth generation by Günter Fink, has about 6 hectares of vines (14.83 acres). It is situated in Seewinkel/Burgenland, a region near the Neusiedlersee, a huge lake that is shared by Austria and Hungary. This part of the country in the very East is the warmest region of Austria. Due to the climate Seewinkel offers a landscape, fauna and flora that differ greatly from the rest of the country.

Since 2008 the winery Fink operates according to the guidelines of organic-biological agriculture which means: no chemical fertilizers, no chemical-synthetical plant protection products, and no herbicides. Furthermore the grapes are carefully selected and gently processed; in order to ensure the wines’ own character, as little interference as possible is done during the vinification. Modern technology and know-how in addition to the experience of generations guarantee wine of a high quality and authenticity.

Some of the best wines are used to produce premium vinegar, of which two flavours are featured by the Edelweiss Collection: cucumber and tomato. Both go very well with all kinds of salad, although the credo – in order to bring out the full aroma – is: less is more.

The collection also features a wine, “Fink Pink“. It is a light, fresh and aromatical rose wine. It may be enjoyed with fish, poultry, and vegetables and is best served at a temperature between 5 and 8 degrees Celsius (41 to 46.4 degree Fahrenheit). The best time for drinking the selected wine is throughout 2012.
